This beautiful set was inspired by my deep love of art nouveau designs. On my journey to self educate and add to my jewelry design repertoire, I was greatly inspired by the words of Kit Carson (jewelry artist and sculpter) when he spoke about his own experience with the art nouveau style. He specifically mentioned curves that turn back on themselves, and the way in which art nouveau leans on variations in line weight to achieve its signature "look". Translating that into jewelry was a challenge, but with hours and hours of hammering, I have come up with what I feel is a close approximation.

The warmth of the copper pairs well with the deep color of the garnet beads used in this set. The voluptuous shape is repeated throughout the parure, which includes the necklace, earrings, a bracelet and a ring, size 7.  All of the elements of each piece are entirely artisan sculpted, including the clasp on the necklace and the catch on the bracelet. It was important to me that each component be made by hand and one of a kind.

The necklace is meant to drape around the neckline in a delicate, shimmering sweep of color and movement, and the other elements of the set will follow suit, making it comfortable to wear and graceful in every way. The earrings are long enough to be bold, but lightweight and airy so as not to overwhelm. The pieces can be worn separately if you so choose, but I do hope you'll wear them all together.

The parure will ship in a decorative box, specifically chosen for the set. If you have questions please do not hesitate to reach out, I'm happy to answer them for you.

This set was one of several samples of work judged in order that I might be awarded the Juried Artist designation through the Arts and Craftsmen Guild on the Historic Roycroft Campus. I am pleased to announce that I was accepted, and am dedicated to carrying on the traditions and high standards of the Campus and the Guild.
