Wild Horse stone is a variety of magnesite with hematite running through it. It's found near the Gila Wilderness are of southern Arizona, near the Globe copper mine, and comes only from there. This particular cabochon has brown veining running through the white matrix, with some areas that appear to have a bit of quartz inclusion.

The pendant is weighty, wrapped in solid copper, and the decorative elements are unique to this piece. Only the smallest portion of the stone has been covered in order to secure the stone in the setting, leaving the rest free to shine. The pendant measures approximately 2 3/4 inches long from the top of the bail to the point of the stone, and is 1 1/2 inches across the widest point. The 18 inch chain pictured with the pendant is included. The piece will arrive in a decorative box with a beautiful satin bow, perfect for gifting.
